I love this blog post from Good today. Comfort food can also be good for your mood and guess what? Chocolate is one of the foods!! I'm not sure I want to give up meatloaf as one of my comfort foods that probably isn't a mood food, but I'm pretty excited to learn that certain berries (which I eat in my morning yogurt) are good for my mood as well as omega-3 fatty acid foods like salmon, which is one of my favorites when I go to get sushi. I fall back on sushi too as a comfort food when I want something simple and healthy.
Come to think of it, I could probably make this a regular dessert dish on CALIX. I don't think I want to deal with a double boiler on the boat, but I'm sure there's a solution that is microwave suitable, or well, I could just let a few dark chocolate bars melt in the sun... Anyway, I look forward to hearing more on this as research progresses. Anyone up for chocolate covered blueberries??
